SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE - Here We Come

Jack the Bitterroot Beagle and his pretend father Mumba (played by Robert Parr), go to the Barber Shop for haircuts and a shave. Gus the Barber (played by Dominic Farrenkopf - aka FLOMINIC) is old and hard of hearing, but still manages to give Jack and Mumba the most spectacular haircuts of their life. The movie clip was intended to be significantly shorter than it turned out, with more emphasis put on the scene where Jack gets a haircut and shave. However, I gave Robert and Dominic (both of whom have never acted before) some very basic directions on the gist of the scene and then told them to do whatever came naturally and improvise. And improvise they did. It was like watching a Saturday Night Live skit. As you can see in the video, the way in which they interacted was seamless, spot on and hysterical. They are naturals and I expect the producers of Saturday Night Live to be contacting them very soon.
